Description
Grown for both its pretty flowers and its culinary use, Caborn Wine and Roses Creeping Thyme features a low and dense carpet of tiny green leaves that becomes blanketed in summer by clusters of pinkish purple flowers surrounding red buds. Perfect as a border or groundcover in garden beds or a soil cover in containers gardens. A wonderful seasoning, its leaves can be used as you would any type of thyme in soups, stews, salad dressings, meat dishes or even for making infused vinegars.
Landscape & Garden Uses
Growing to only 2 to 4 inches tall and spreading 8 to 12 inches or more wide, Caborn Wine & Roses Creeping Thyme is ideal for use as a groundcover or border along paths and walkways. It tolerates light foot traffic well so is perfect for use to fill the gaps between stepping stones. Also great as an underplanting for shrubs, roses, perennials and small trees, such as Japanese maples. Very nice around and growing over boulders. Flowering bulbs will pop right through it in spring. A fine addition to herb gardens, pink theme gardens, culinary gardens, rock gardens and the Xeriscape (low water needs).
Suggested Spacing:  15 to 18  inches apart for mass planting; 10 to 12 inches apart to fill gaps between stepping stones

Growing Preferences
When planted right and in the right spot, Caborn Wine & Roses Creeping Thyme is easy to grow. It grows best in a light, lightly moist but well-drained soil and full sun. A little shade is okay. Will tolerate rainy periods but constantly soggy or wet soil is a killer. So make sure to plant in a well-drained site!
