Taiga Clematis – 1 Gallon Pot

healthy vines that are flowering for me already, although initial flowers are small(to be expected before full establishment). these do not like too much water, and be careful to plant top of root ball at surface so it can breathe. i planted one of them too deep and it drowned/suffocated with rains, The other is doing great. My fault but be aware not as forgiving as other plants initially at least, probably the plant i’m most excited for this season, along with avant guard.—————————————–We suggest planting everything just a little above ground level. Having recently moved to a new house I am in the process of added plantings to the landscape. I had a perfect spot for a clematis, and after some research on the website find the Taiga Clematis, which I considered to be an excellent selection. It arrived from Wilson Bros Gardens in perfect shape, and I planted it in a spot to be easily enjoyed. The plant is already blooming as you can see in the photo. The taiga clematis is beautiful, and so unique from my others. As usual with Wilson plants, this plant was large, well wrapped, with multiple blooms. It is as pictured online. The blooms are a complex mix of purple , lime green, and white. The healthy, strong vines already attached to their small trellises when they arrived are just incredible. They are growing quickly and covered in buds. Hi Folks,
I tried to attach this pic to my reviews, but was unable to do so. So here’s a shot of our two clematis. As you can see, this little Taiga (with the delicate, feathery leaves has already climbed to the top of the trellis! This little guy lost a few leaves, but survived a freeze, and then proceeded fearlessly to twine and climb his way to the top! Healthy, strong plant!
The larger leaved Armandi Snowdrift just landed running and has nearly enveloped the trellis! The elongated leaves contrast with the Taiga leaves to provide an interesting “centerpiece” for the garden.——————————————————-Thanks for the photo, I did your review for you. We are very pleased with our recent order with Wilson Bros Gardens ! We order 2 Formosa Indica Azaleas and 1 Taiga Clematis. Both arrived Saturday 4-16. The packing was amazing. The plants arrived unscathed. Kudos to your packing folks. The Azaleas box was sturdy enough for truck to drive over it ! We recycle. I am excited to see how the Clematis blooms. I have a purple Clematis that I have been babying for 1 year. It has huge blooms already. (I bought it at Home Depot.) we will order from your nursery from now on. Fast delivery and very well packed. So happy !
We will be ordering Japanese Maples once we get the utility folks out here. The prior owners took all of the trees down in front. We face West and it is very hot on the front of the house.

The Taiga Clematis was packaged well and came quickly. It was a nice size and in beautiful condition. I planted it right away and it has a lot of new growth already. Can’t wait to see it bloom. This plant arrived in great condition and is doing well in my 7 gallon pot on the deck.
